Wood Drying System
Takes green, wet
wood 1" thick and less
to a ready to finish
turning in 12 to 48 hours.
The kit includes color
indicating drying agent,
which is re-usable after
regeneration, and a drying
bag. After rough turning or
cutting to a maximum, uniform
thickness of 1", weigh
the piece and place the piece in a bag or container ensuring
that at least 1" of drying agent covers all surfaces. Seal
the bag or container to keep the moisture out. Leave the
piece in the drying agent for 12 to 24 hours. After 24 hours
weigh the piece again. A 25 to 30 % weight reduction normally
indicates a maximum dryness. Put the piece back in
the drying agent for another 12 hours then reweigh. If the
weigh is the same, the wood is dry. Ideal for drying bowls,
pen blanks and other pieces. 25 lbs
